About us
One Family Since 1928
Jagersbo has been a family business from the day the kennel name was granted in 1928. The family still owns it, runs it and lives on the property.

Family owned
Dog Sense, Handed Down
It began with Erik Bergishagen Sr., who came from Denmark in 1922 and bred English Setters and Pointers. His son Erik ran the kennel for more than sixty years and made Jagersbo known in the show ring. Today the kennel remains a family-owned business.
Over the years we have remodeled and updated our facilities to give our boarders the best amenities we can. Our family and staff have an enormous amount of dog sense and experience, and it shows in the thoughtful, considerate care each guest receives.
Why families choose Jagersbo
Old-Fashioned Care, Kept Simple
Owners on site, around the clock
The family lives on the property, so someone is here 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, holidays included.
Indoor / outdoor kennels
The kennel was built in 1935 on the belief that dogs flourish with outdoor access, sunshine, fresh air and room to exercise. It is one of the few indoor / outdoor kennels left in the area.
Built to be kept clean
Stainless steel kennels and ceramic tiled walls make cleaning and disinfecting easy and routine.
Supervised playtime
Playtime is supervised at all times, and dogs are paired with others of similar size and temperament.
A free trial daycare
Not sure about boarding? Leave your dog for a trial daycare at no cost, and take a tour while you are here.
Real dog people
Our family and staff have an enormous amount of dog sense and experience, from the show ring to the play yard.
