The stay
Built Around Fresh Air and Exercise
Our boarding facility was designed with the belief that dogs flourish with plenty of outdoor access, sunshine, fresh air and lots of room for exercise. We are one of the few indoor / outdoor kennels left in the area.
From our stainless steel kennels to our ceramic tiled walls, everything was built so that cleaning and disinfecting are easy and routine. Since our lives are devoted to animals, we care for each guest as if they were our own.
- Indoor / outdoor kennels
- Kennel food included
- Supervised playtime available
- Pill medications given as directed
- Owners live on site

Dog Boarding Questions
How do I make a boarding reservation?
Call us at (248) 644-7717 or send the request form on this page. We confirm every reservation personally, so your stay is booked once we have spoken or written back.
What vaccinations does my dog need?
Bordetella, rabies and DA2PP/DHPP (distemper, adenovirus, parainfluenza and parvovirus), plus a negative fecal check. You or your vet can e-mail or fax the records to us. If vaccinations are not up to date, we reserve the right to refuse boarding.
Is food included?
Yes. Kennel food is included in the stay. If your dog does not do well with a change in diet, bring their own food; there is a small charge for feeding owner’s food.
Can you give my dog medication?
We are happy to give pill medication. Please write down the medicine and the dose, and bring whatever your dog takes it with (cheese, peanut butter and so on). We cannot give injections, including insulin. Very sick or high-maintenance pets are better off boarding with their veterinarian; call us if you are unsure.
Can I bring toys or bedding?
Keep it to a minimum and label everything with your last name and your pet’s name. Most dogs pay little attention to toys in the kennel, and we cannot guarantee that items come home, so bring only things you would not miss.
My dog has never been boarded. What do you suggest?
Leave your dog with us for a trial daycare first, free of charge. It helps them get used to Jagersbo, so they are ready, and even excited, for their full stay.
